poe india is a country with a wide range of cultures, religions, languages. this diversity is seen in the different educational institutes that are present in india. to name a few- indian institutes of technology are all over the country to ensure that students are given opportunities to focus on their areas of interest and then train themselves for future professions. there are also management schools, law schools, medical schools which help impart knowledge and skills for better jobs in these fields. but if you want something more high-brow or niche you do not have to go outside india, because there are many institutes which will give you what you want or need without any compromise on quality. the TV series as a form of entertainment, as a source of information, transmission of knowledge and the shared experience is something that india is famous for. this media has been instrumental in spreading various kinds of information through different genres- from informative to entertaining and from serious to satirical. these shows have brought us a variety of stories which have amazed us. because it cannot be our idea to believe in the absurd itself but we laugh at it all the same. in this essay i would like to take up one such show which i think captures the essence of our individual narcissism better than any other show does. the show is called my favourite television programme and it is a highly entertaining show with a very diverse content. after watching the show and at the same time reading and understanding articles on narcissism i came to know about this TV programme. shakil was born in Karachi, Pakistan. he completed his high school from the International School of Exceptional Children (ISEC), Karachi, which was founded by William Booth. Then he went to King William's College, University of London where he obtained a first-class degree in computer science from the university of London. his father is a businessman and mother a school teacher. Shakil has three elder sisters and two younger brothers. he likes reading books, listening to music and he is passionate about cricket. from an early age shakil used to show interest in writing short stories and scripts for short films. because of the encouragement he received from his teachers, family members and friends, shakil developed a keen interest in pursuing a career in the field of acting, writing and directing. Shakil started his career as a writer/director making amateur videos for his friends' events. he made theater programs for college fests at ISEC Karachi, all of which were well received by the audience because of their unique content and format. his first professional video was for the "Young Muslims" organization in which he portrayed a modern Muslim family. Shakil then worked for "Omni News", where he was given the opportunity to do both stand-up comedy and acting. At the beginning, Shakil did not think of himself as an actor since he did not seem to fit into any particular genre. Shakil won his first award at "The Best of Pakistani Project" (2007) event.
